well, this fish seems to have a knack for being a difficult betta. XD

alright so, his mysterious bloating that i posted awhile back about -- he was /eating/ his plants relentlessly. i removed him from the ten gallon divided, and for now, he is in a one gallon, heated tank. i put a soft plastic plant in there ( the softest i had ) which unfortunately, proved not to be soft enough after his endless.... attacking.

durring being cupped, he also acquired a small cut on his head.
ripped fins, though his tail fin was from the plant i'm sure --- the one on top of his body, just obtained a split?

as it is his fins are a little messed up from when i rescued him, they were nearly gone from fin rot. the pectoral fins? they're a little knotted looking.

i don't know if i should be concerned, as it does look like he's shedding some extra slime coat. :\

i've done full water changes the past two days. with some aquarium salt.

He is a very beautiful shade of blue ! I have no ideas what to do with the tail biting. Perseus will attack new things in his home but only for a day or two and then he is over it..lol I can see the cut on his head I am sure it will heal sounds like your doing a great job caring for him.
