Tail biting?

I was kind of shocked when I woke up to this... I'm used to bettas putting a tear in their tail... but.... what on earth did he do while I was sleeping last night?!

what happened to that nice round edged tail? T_T

they're silly sometimes. Have you changed anything in his tank recently?

nope... I've changed his plants around before... he never seemed to care. cant think of any plants in the tank thatncan tear his fins.
He was on an irregular sleeping schdule all week because of me going back to school and stuff...could that be it? I can hardly tell if this guy gets stressed. he's simply always hungry. I've given him something to flare at today while I'm away....

ooh that does remind me. I slid the filter over an inch twodays ago. he usually flares at the HOB. may be that's it.

lol might be. I find they can be particular at times. Give him a while to get used to it, maybe he'll stop?

Biting is really annoying isn't it Ao? :l I'm glad Lebron doesn't bite. With his CT fins, he'll have a hard time getting them. He should stop, how can he get bored in a tank like yours? lol
