Betta being lame:(

What are your thoughts on the lady that raises and sells betta fish, and she puts the salt in the water of all her fish every time she changes 100% of the water once a week?

Even when sold, the water in the bag has salt

she sells betta where im from. Crown tales, very healthy ones too. She breeds them, doesn't import

There are such thing as bad breeders.
Most betta breeders are bad breeders.

If they're so healthy then why do they need salt?
Like I said get him in clean salt-free water ASAP, salt will cause organ failure.

Who knows, the salt might be causing him to act this way because it's slowly killing him.

oh yeh, I've had this fish since last thursday. unbelievable how fast it just got sick

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to say that the beta is coming back to life. I have a filter and I took out the salt water. Now, its fins are opening back up, it swims around, its eating well, its responding to my finger etc. The fish is by itself.

I have another 5 or 6 gallon tank waiting with a gupy in it. I'm gonna get a new filter extension so i can attach two tanks to the main filter pump, that way I don't have to buy another pump. What kind of fish you all have, and how many?
