I'm a huge horror movie fan, but I want real, original, unpredictable horror, and that is hard to come by!
O.O I know exactly what you mean

+1!

Seriously, though. They don't make convincing horror movies anymore.

It's always the ditzy big breasted women who gets killed, then the minority, then the hero sacrifices himself to save the survivors. Really predictable

Either that, or a poorly done re-make of an Asian film.
When ever a new one is coming out, I try to go watch the original first. I really loved the Japanese "Dark Water," but the Hollywood version just sucked. They just don't know how to deal with translating their culture and end up completely messing up the plot to accommodate.
There was also the Thai "Shutter." This movie was already pretty awful to begin with....and then Hollywood decided to make it even worse >.<

I can't think of anything more recent than that though. It's been a while since I've heard of ANY horror film releasing that isn't just a slasher (I don't count those as horror).

I actually like bad horror movies ><. I guess I just like picking apart how terrible they are. There are some that are just truly terrible though, say for example, Stephen King's "The Mist".

And if you haven't seen Insidious and Paranormal Activity 1, 2, and 3, watch them.
I LOVE the paranormal activity movies!

LOL - Plan 9 is the WORST :) That and Killer Clowns from Outer Space. It's funny to check out Plan 9 to see how bad the special effects are tho.

Never heard of Birdemic. I'll get on Rotten Tomatoes and check it out.

Netflix needs some new movies. I've watched almost every horror movie on there. My favorites are the foreign ones.....people just sound smarter when they talk in a language I don't understand.

Haha same!
I was watching #2 with my kitty on my lap, and whenever something happened I'd squeeze him and bury my face in him....naturally he calmly purred xD
But yeah, I had to watch it in 10 minute segments because I am a wimp :P
