Just saw something weird

So I have this tiny baby betta from Petco in a plastic breeder box floating in my 20 gallon. I swear I just saw something in the box with him, like a minuscule bubble except it was moving more like a bug. It was really tiny, like a speck of dust. After watching it move around for a few seconds the baby betta ATE IT.

Was it a bug? What kind of bug? Where did it come from? I was a little freaked out by it.

Just looked that up, so water fleas are the same as daphnia, which we WANT our bettas to eat? If that's what it was how did it get into my tank? I've never fed them daphnia.

I've been watching daphnia videos. This thing was way smaller than what they showed. Maybe it was just a bubble.
