Yeah. Public universities are a little more reasonable but the tuition fees have been going up a lot, at least for the ones in California. I think University of California schools are around $12,000 to $15,000 now? Not sure. It's expensive to go to school. >.>
Holy crap. I don't even... wow.
I think it's more to do with prestige these days. "I went to Harvard" and all that pretentious crap. It's all printed out of a xerox printer, that piece of paper. Seriously.
We should go with what Europe got, free education.
I was wondering why I never see people from the states talking about university on here. :s
I do. :p
My tuition was 6,600 this semester, so 13,200 a year.
I have a lottery scholarship, gvt. grant, and an academic performance scholarship where I have to work 75hrs a semester for college moneys.
Well that's good :) At least you can affford it!!(yay)
It's near impossibru to get grants and scholarships around these parts. So backwards and ignorant. It would be more work for me to apply for a scholarship now because I applied when I was 21. Most of the scholarships go to high school students and people with disabilities.
I love being a student though. HATE dealing with loans. Mine will be another week coming in because instead of calling me to clear stuff up on Sept 5 and 6 they decided to wait until today to email me (after I emailed them first) to tell me there has been a problem with my "year of study" on the dfvjbwlyub q application. I know what I put down on the application because I never been a fourth year before. Jeez Louise.
I'm sooo confused Elizabeth, are you in college or university? xD
Oh, sorry for being unclear! People around here don't specify between the two much, so I'm used to not paying attention. I go to East Tennessee State University.
Edit: If it wasn't for the state scholarships and my grades, there'd be no way I could go. I think our "education" system is ridiculous!
