The time for my first spawn is nearing and I set up the breeding tank today. I have a blue LED light for it and I'm wondering if it's going to be bright enough for the daddy to see the eggs. The tank is going to be kept in my closet so the light can stay on for 3 days, so there isn't any other source of light. I'm not sure how bright it needs to be.
Yep it's bare-bottomed (although there's already little bits from the filter media I introduced and some snail poop sitting on the bottom). Also, I realized this morning that if I flip the switch the other way, there's a daylight LED feature So I'm good either way.
I do have a little bubble filter in there for when the babies are old enough, should I be doing daily water changes before they're born since it's not filtered or wait til after?
