They probably couldn't chew through a cord that fast, not with you and Jake right on their tails. They're just curious little critters.
EDIT: Olympia,
You sound like Chesh. :D I wonder how a fancy goldfish would do with him?
I need to save up to get the ramshorns off aquabid.

my mystery snail died.
It didnt smell but it had meat hanging out of the shell and the trapdoor wasn't really attached anymore and it didnt move when i picked it up. I think it very recently died.
anybody got a apple snail they can spare?

Tiki, that's exactly how my mystery snail was when I found it dead. If it wasn't dead then, it sure is now because it went into the trash.
By the way, I saw the snails I put into the pond the other day. They are doing just fine nomming on the algae and leftover food. Hope they breed soon, I need more. :)
Elizabeth, yes pics!

I think I'm dying.. Just cleaned Oliver's litter box- and we use clay litter. Holy mini dust storm.
Downloaded Slenderman onto my phone. I know it's not as good but I think if I play it in the dark on my bed I'll get nightmares. THe annual haunted house is having a slenderman feature this year.. So the grapevine whispers.
taw taw, I'm off to bed!

Look at these ramshorns! Leopard blue. Oooooooh
Aww, no goldies? Yeah, probably not since they root around the bottom so much. Darn.
EDIT: Night, Laki! I feel your litterbox pain!
