Earlier this week I posted about my betta clamping his fins after a water change and me terrifying the poor thing while trying to take pictures of him...
Well I did some water tests, and I found I had trace amounts of nitrites, and thus began my war. Over the past week I've been doing daily water changes (50-75%) and just did a full change yesterday. He's been dealing with it quite well actually, and has slowly been unclamping his fins so I'm assuming he's much happier with me, and a bit less terrified xD
Today I just thought I would share some pictures of him (he's still clamping his anal fin just a bit, but I anticipate he'll relax more soon)
Anyway, I was also hoping I could get some name suggestions from you guys, my fiance and I are completely stumped at what to call him. The pictures don't quite do him justice, he's only about an inch and a half to 2 inches from tip to tail and when stimulated his body is nearly black, he has red fins with blue accents? and they're rimmed with black
Personality wise he's OCD (if any food falls to the floor of the tank he searches for it like mad until he finds it)... and extremely active and fast for a large finned betta. He's also extremely intelligent and learned to come for food when I whistle within the first day I had him lol.
Names we've tried:
Dart, Feather, Cassinova, MacBeth, Hamlet, Tatsu, Bullet currently we call him a combo of little guy, little dude, small one, little one and similar things
