Keep in mind that snails poop a lot, and IME should be removed from the tank for feedings, otherwise the betta will eat all the snail's food.

I had nerites, they dont get too big, theyre easy to find IME, and they cannot reproduce in fresh water. If you get two of the opposite sex, they can lay eggs, but they will never hatch.

IMO snails are more trouble than theyre worth. They are very cute tho ;)

trumpets are very useful for sand and soil based tanks.

Thank you all for the good advice. :) I will see what the pet store has and make a decision then. I may just get a male fish and leave it at that, but if I see a snail I like I will consider it.
