So while we were out at Petco today picking up a new lady for my sorority (since I had one pass away and one turn out male) my boyfriend has his eye caught by a few fancier looking males :) The one that really caught him was a king betta he liked how big they were, but he wasn't sure that he wanted that one. Well, we got back home and I went to the other Petco that's near my house (I only found one nice looking female at the first store and wanted to check out the other store) They had 3 kings! So I decided that I'd surprise him with his own betta. He had the biggest smile on his face when I gave him to him Still hasn't named him but keeps calling him "Biggie" because compared to any of my males he's huge lol

AWESOME!! I have to laugh, because hubby is taking more of an interest in my hobby/obsession. I just got done cleaning and rearranging his "man cave" today, and I was going to ask him if he wants his own betta for in there...okay, ulterior motive..I saw this amazing OHM at Petsmart yesterday. LOL..but, if I told him it was for HIM? Great fish ya'll got!

Thanks! BF is really cool about all my fish he doesn't get on my case when, like today, I come home with 2-3 when I left with the intention of only getting 1. I'm really glad he's excited for his own. He gets to decorate the 3gal(with filter) I got however he wants, it only has a fake plant in there that I had at home already and a mug "cave" for right now.

I also got my BF addicted!!! Now we lay in bed at night looking at Aquabid and on the forum! He is hooked for sure..

What a beautiful King you got him, just watch out!! You know he will want another!

Have you had a chance to check out the Betta Shop in St. Paul? Tony usually has some pretty stunning giants in stock too :) He had about 50 of them the last time I was in!

I really want to go there! Our friend lives about 4 blocks away! Right now we are at betta max though lol
