My new couple (lots of pictures)

I always buy my bettas in pairs of male and female. It's not that I have intentions of breeding them or anything, I just think everyone deserves a companion, even if they are on the other side of a divided tank. :P

Anyways, I bribed my boyfriend into going to Petsmart by buying him a video game. I didn't really see anyone who struck my eye, until I noticed the same little boy that had been sitting there 2 weeks ago. I picked him and my boyfriend picked his "girlfriend" and a beehive decoration.

Without further ado, there are the two newest (unnamed) additions to our home:

This is my boy. I think he's a pineapple. His cup said he was a halfmoon, but I'm not sure. Is he? His ventral fins are badly curled and he has some blood streaks going through his fins.









This is my girl. It is VERY hard to photograph her. If I use the flash, it shows too much of her iridescence, but without it she wiggles too much and it's blurry. In natural lighting she has a blue body, black or brown head, and yellow fins outlined in blue. Here is the best I could do for now.

Congrats on your new additions, they are very beautiful!! I have a weakness for yellow Betta's so I definitely would of picked your male. And your female is such a cutie!!

Awww, they're both gorgeous! That female looks like she has some MG going on, I have to say I'm a little partial to her coloring....makes me want to start looking at females more, lol. xD

that's what i love about him, his fins are sooo long and flowy. I don't know if he is a veiltail or a halfmoon though. and my female bars up like crazy. she wasn't in the tank 5 minutes before she had bars. xD

Awww sweet couple! They are great Bettas congrats. LOL on bribing your BF with buying him a video game so you could go to Petsmart Sounds like something I'd do ha ha!
