Lightbulb advice on new fish???

hi,I am a very knew member on this website, and although i do not own a betta i really am looking into getting one. I've done a lot of research but all websites say different things! is a multiple galleon tank necessary for only 1 betta??
I'd like some advice on feeding habits and what size tank is really necessary. I've heard bettas can survive well in anything over 1 liter so i was hoping to get maybe a half a galleon tank only.
Thanks so much for any help!!

Welcome! You sound like your going to be a great fish owner!(with a little help ;) the minimum tank size is 2.5 gallons in my opinion, some say 5 gallon. Feeding should be twice a day I recommend pellets flakes make a mess and cause bloat. Two pellets twice a day is what I would do, but well have to see what everyone else says ;) hope this helped!
