Red face New betta ^-^ and urgent news about walmart.

I just got back from walmart with a new betta. At walmart he was sick and dieing of fin rot, and ich. I gave him a epsom salt bath and he's been swimming around and he looks real happy. O.K i want to get this very straight. WALMART ABUSES THERE BETTAS! I'm serious. I always get betta's from walmart because, there mistreated and never fed! There was 2 dead betta's and one that was half dead! There was ammonia building up in there tiny containers! Poor fish. Now that I saved one- I feel great. He is real comfy and happy. That's great. I'll post a picture of him soon. x3 I was lazy and didn't take a picture of him. x3 well bye o3o.

Too many bowls at mine. Nice fish food. The plant section has problems.

My Walmart doesn't sell bettas either, but there are too many that do, and that do neglect, and abuse them,it is horrible, and very sad that it doesnt get some kinds of fine for selling and not taking care of animals properly, I beleive that is why some Walmarts aren't selling fish, because of the complaints to Corporate, and they neither all died, or just lost their license to do so.

That's a pretty well-known fact. I bet they will all stop selling live fish eventually.

Not really urgent news, ha ha... I thought you were going to tell us that HQ put a stop to livestock in the stores.

I got 3 of my fish from there, also, because they were being neglected and me writing letters to corporate and complaining every day for a week (and eventually crying in the garden department) did no good.

Glad you saved the little guy. Hope you have a long life together :)

I think they've stopped selling them in Canada...or at least Ontario, I haven't seen them for sale for a couple of years now in a few cities I've been to.

Out of all the stores nearby only pet stores sell pets now. At hallmark you used to be able to buy ADF. Petco nearby does great care but pets smart farther away is bad. My petco stopped selling Giant bettas they did not sell they are ordering something called elephant ear bettas. They always have a great variety of fish.
