White spot?

My betta got this weird white spot on his forehead. Is it possibly ick? It kinda just looks like he's shedding scales or something.

I would continue to monitor your betta's behavior to see if more white spots develop on his body. I don't believe one white spot on his forehead means he's got ick.

No, ich is an infection and appears in multiple white dots. Like pimples almost. This pic looks like he rubbed his scales off on an ornament or got caught under something. Check everything in the tank to make sure he didn't wiggle under something. When I upgraded my tank Bowser wedged himself behind the filter bc he didn't like the current.. He got rubbed.
Clean water and fix the decoration should cure this in no time. If, however, you find it does not clear up or start improving or you notice his behaviour is "off" you can start a treatment by which we can help you.

There was a tight spot that he always went to in his tank. i'll have to re-arrange it.

Yes, that would probably be the culprit if it was tight. You can try adding a cave or some lush plants for him to hide if that's his motif in getting stuck!
