First betta friend

I have 2 gallon tank, heated, no filter.


Ive thought of buying an aquatic snail ( tigre snails i think
They were called) and was wondering
If my tank is too small to have a snail there with my betta,
Does it produce a lot of waste? (My tank seems to be big enough to

What is the benefit of a snail? ( i hear they help
Maintain the tank)

Do these snails attack live plants? ( as in eating them)
What do they eat? ( do they need special food?)

I think it would help entertain my betta when im in class

Personally, I would not add anything to your 2g tank. I don't know what kind of snail you are looking at but an Apple or Mystery snail needs to have a minimum of 2g & yes they produce quite a bit of waste. I would suggest a bigger, filtered & heated tank, at least a 5g preferably 10g if you want to add any tank mates with your Betta.
