Filter?

Hi everyone.

I've been suggested to get a sponge filter though I realize you have to buy things separate and I can't afford that right now. Is there any other filter that would be good for a halfmoon double tail and is cheap?

goldfishyman, Do you know if you could get those in Petco's?

Same goes for you, Lizzy. If you think you can get those in Petco that would be great.

I think I got mine from Petsmart. But I think you can get them from Petco. They're really nice. A lot of surface area for BB to grow especially since its foam inside. You will have to baffle the output though, but if you use filter sponges then it will be fine :)

Probably can get them at a petco/petsmart but pay double the price.

http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=3943444

The price at Amazon is amazing you could by 2 and get free shipping. The flow is adjustable so no baffling needed and the pump sits in the aquarium with a sponge filter. This means no priming and no fish stuck to the pump.

Ah..That's bad..

If it helps and if anybody knows how to adjust my filter to make the current softer, its a tetra whisper PF10 that was purchased from Petco.

Here's my guide. Cheap as dirt to do and you can make it as slow as you want by adjusting the size of the hole. Also not ugly like the bottle baffle. Looking at pics online of your filter, I see no basket. I suggest a sponge be added to the intake tube so your fish doesn't get stuck to it or sucked in.
