Had you done enough research you would have learned that mixing fin types is frowned upon by all serious breeders and even most casual ones.

Even breeding petstore Betta is not considered the best way to go. You may want ot research more than just the mechanics of breeding.

If you really need a male Plakat to breed with your female, I would suggest visiting the breeder section of this forum and asking if anyone there could help you. You might get a better-than-petstore quality male for not much more than the cost of shipping. (Yes, there are breeders here from Canada.)
