I do take commissions for my knitting, but I won't be able to until after X-Mas due to gift knitting.
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but most people don't like paying for the work behind knitting. It does get pricey (remember that shawl I made my mom for xmas last year? For me to get "paid" way less then minimum wage for the work/time I put in it, it would have cost over $200). Not saying it's the same for socks, but you get the idea.

I totally understand, Angelic. People don't want to take the time and effort it takes to make stuff into consideration and want you to do stuff for little to nothing.

Very true!
Yes, you can get a hat like that in a store for $1-$5, but it was made by a machine and likely in another country.
I'm all about supporting homemade items and buying locally.

I made a dog sweater today, took me all day and I had to improvise because she wanted an owl cable on it. I'll probably get twenty bucks for it. Better than nothing I guess, lol.

And whaaa? Only $20?! I'd sell my dog sweaters for $30-40.
Sure they can get some cheap-o walmart sweater that's thin and uncomfy...but a nice think wool doggie knit sweater is so much better! :D

I ended up making 2 of them (both chihuahua's thank goodness). My sister asked me to make them for her friend, otherwise I would charge much more.
