Help!

I just bought a new Betta last night, it's a half moon betta. He's beautiful. I couldn't wait to get him so I just have him in a vase for right now, last night he was fine, but today he seems really spastic and he's jumping all over the place, he'll sit still for a little while and then spaz out, when I get near his vase as well. His fins look great, any idea what this could be? I have a crowntail betta, in a 1.5 gallon with a filter, and he seems to be doing fine, he's constantly making a bubble nest, which I heard it could mean he's ready for mating or he's content? He's always making a bubble nest! Any ideas why my half moon betta is acting the way he is, I don't want anything to happen to him. I won't be able to get anything until I get paid on Friday,

Well I strongly suggest getting a heater or finding some temporary way to heat his tank. Bettas are tropical and need 78 degree F water and if it is below that, they are sensitive and could die from it.

How should I heat his tank if I don't have a heater? Is that the reason he's spastic?

Check the tank's temp. If it is below 78 it is probably the reason he is spastic. You should try and get a heater ASAP. When I found out I needed a heater in the ol' days I used a halogen lamp to heat it. Problem was that the temp would fluctuate, and the light was constantly on so he probably couldnt get any sleep..

I changed his water and it's a little bit warmer now, I won't be able to get a heater until Friday. I actually work at a pet store, so It makes things easier. Would it be okay to put two male bettas in a divided ten gallon, or does it cause stress them being that close to eachother?
