minor bloat while being treated with AQ salt...

Pho Phan is on his 9th day of AQ salt treatment for fin rot...tomorrow will be his last day, then I will wean him off over the weekend and just move to daily clean water changes of 50%. Yet today he has some mild bloat...im guessing costipation as he hasnt pooped in about 2 days and the one prior was huge! Is there anything I can do to help him poop while in AQ salt treatment? Should I just fast him or should I keep feeding as normal to encourage it to push through?

His diet consists of 2 pellets of Omega One Pellets in the PM. I need to expand this but the season for misquitro's is long over with and the local stores dont sell brine food...Maine lacks a lot in the way of good quality fish care products :/ Omega One Pellets is the best offered food around but I do hope to eventually set up a small brine shrimp tank...it will be a little while til then though and then ill order/hatch and hopefully raise some healthy food items for them.

he has a preset heater, it gen keeps the bowl between 76-78
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
0 nitrate
8.2 Ph but im working on that and have been learning about bettas and ph, im using IAL right now to lower it and ordered some driftwood, should be here any day now

no they are pre set...I dont have any adjustable heaters :/ Do they have small adjustables available? I have 2 gallon bowls. I think my local petstore only has large adjustables.

false alarm, he pooped! lol. It would be good info for the future tho..I know you can do epsom salts..but what if your in the middle of an AQ salt treatment?

I will put that heater on my to get list...I like to have things on hand for emergency and didnt know they sell one small enough for their bowls. Thank you :)
