Oh wow, I somehow missed your whole first post. x.x Thanks so much for the advice, I'll put it into action as soon as classes are done for the day! He hasn't been flaring a lot, and most of the "fuzz" is not there anymore, maybe I was seeing things. Is it okay to float him in a tank with quite a bit of ammonia in it, since I'm trying to cycle it?

Just ordered Prime, since no place I can get to has it. Should be here next week, hopefully. Until it gets here, should I go ahead and move him to the QT, or wait until it comes?

Well, I got the prime yesterday so I prepared his water and moved him to his floating QT. Came back from class, and if I'm not mistaken, there are now two small bubble nests around the edges! Those would be his first for me. So he definitely seems happier, despite his temporary swim-space reduction.
