Spurk the Betta

Yesterday my favoritest betta ever, Fitzwilliam, passed away after spending a grand 4 years together. I was heart broken, however I know he's in a better place.

Moving on from there... I was at the local PetSmart Friday shopping for my puppy's first birthday when I walked over to the betta part of the store. In one of their impressively clean cups was this beautiful betta. He was swimming around like he was the sexiest betta ever and he knew it. He even had the mouth of Fitzwilliam.

So I bought him. His name is Spurk, although I'm thinking that it doesn't fit him too well... Oh well, here he is:

Yeah, Fitzwilliam was even a WalMart bought betta. He was a gift from my parents on my birthday.

I really love Spurk's eyes, they're so big and dark! He's starting to have almost purple colored streaks in his tail. I'm super excited to see how he'll color up!

I think that he did have a good life, one full of betta pellets! And thanks, I love his coloring too, that's what caught my eye when I was looking!

I sure hope he does! He seems to be enjoying everything so far and he loves the pellets, it makes me wonder what they fed him at the store... I can't wait to see what he thinks of blood worms and brine shrimp!
