Stressed...don't know why

Ok, so as some of you know, my cat ate my new fish Ferdinand. So now I have fixed the problem so Cookie can't get to the tank, and put my girl betta Cheng in it since it's bigger. For some reason she keeps on having stress stripes. Can someone help me?

I would say she just needs time to adjust to her new home. So sorry to hear you lost Ferdinand.

Well, with the girls, it's confusing, I have a girl, and she is striped some days, some not, and she is fairly young, I beleive if that is the case those stripes come off and on, and when they get older over 6mos, or so, they tend to blend to normal coloring, but my girl is about 4 mos..and she is like a chameleon, stripes, color, stripes, color..I dont think it's stress --seems to me more like lighting, I see more stripes with the natural lighting, but at night, I see solid coloring..

Correct lelei, stripes don't always mean stress....Fish normally will show stripes and have color changes as a form of communication and camouflage.
