Hi There. ^^

I had a betta (named Bara) awhile back that I got from WalMart. He lived with me for three years before he passed on, and then I went betta-less for a couple more years. Then I got Azizi, my current oldest betta (He's been with me maybe three years now) and he really got me started. I have five total right now. ^^

Athena was my most recent purchase (yesterday) and she's not in the greatest of shape, but with advice and info from this forum I'm hoping I can nurse her back to health. :)

Yue and Besito are kind of odd because they've changed colors since I got them. Besito in his picture has white on his fins but it's mostly completely gone now. And Yue was white with large, bright splashes of blue, but now he's mostly just white. Maybe they switched colors. lol

I have them (or will have them, for the littler ones) in one-gallon tanks and I'll be adding heaters soon since winter's coming up (they actually stay about 78 without heaters during the summer here, easily). But I'm hoping that I can find better (bigger, maybe 2-gallon) accommodations for them at some point.

Welcome can not wait to see them all in 2 gallons, heated, and filtered you seem like you know your Bettas my sig has a link to a Database of fish products and aquarium tankmates in a 10 you could even add other fish and if you want to save money dividing a big tank like twenty saves time and money.

@ChoclateBetta: I looked into tanks and heaters today while I was buying aquarium salt and Stress Coat for Athena and I think I have a plan. lol It may take a few more months for the bigger tanks, (monetarily and time-wise (and to find the space. I don't have too much room)), but I'll be getting the heaters for sure within the next week.

@harleraven: Thank you! I found him at a Petco and could not resist. He's quite flashy and intense, so he's a really fun one to watch. lol

Hello and Welcome, Love your fishy family, they are soo cute, I have 6 in our fishy family I know how quickly it can grow..and how much fun it is..I recently got an Aqueon Mini Bow 2.5 gal for my most recent fishy and it's working out great..my others are in 3 and 5 gallon tanks, Love your Besito:) and Athena is a pretty girl:) I have 2 girls:)

For you splittinfg a larger tank is best and those bettas are lovely.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I lost Athena last night. So now I'm back down to four. I think I'll stick to that number for awhile. ^^'

Also, I now suspect Cúon is a girl. He (she?) appears to have an egg spot. I got him or her when he/she was quite little, so I feel a gendering mistake by the breeder/store is entirely likely.
