it is normal for clear/ white bettas to marble.. so I wont be too worried about that.

Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate

Hello there,

Thank you so much for your reply always.
Yes, I think so color change is normal. But she worry about that. Because he is not marble when she looked first time.
So, she's not any test kit. I recommend she bought it, but she didn't.

I live in Meguro(not meguro station), near Shibuya. Do you know that ?

Thank you veru much !

I have no idea XD I've never been to japan :p

Hmm..what is your friend's water change schedule?
are you able to fill this out for her?

Code:
Housing
What size is your tank?
What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?
usually fins do not heal due to water conditions or a compromise immune system. Water parameters are very important. occassionally a bettas fin cannot heal due to the water being too hard.

Oh by the way. your friend's betta is not a dragon. but it is still very beautiful.

it seems like he'a been fin biting however...

Hi sorryfor the late response. had a busy day.
i have no idea what suma is... sorry.

your second friend needs to do more water changes. preferrably to change out half the water half way through the week. can you test her water for her?
is her fish active? I can see that he is also fin biting. if he is fin biting he could be bored. there seems to be nothing in his tank...

looking again, the second fish has a very straight cut mark across his tail... is there something in the tank that could have done that? look for and remove anything that is sharp or that the fish can get stuck in

I would suggest more decorations. soft silk plants. some white silk plants will look great!

Can you use ebay in Japan? You can order some indian almond leaves off Amy Lim from ebay. grade C will be enough. if you get a very large pack you can share it between your friends. it lowers PH is antibacterial, antifungal and helps betta fish heal fins.

You might even have the leaves locally...

And do stop the antibiotics... there is no point... The sad thing about antibiotics is that it gets rid of both good and bad bacteria. used in sever illnesses, it will help. but small situations like this, it is harming the fish.

Yes, he is really active. I see he is fin biting.
Yes, the tank is in the heater and small filter. After that I recommend pot, and she bought it.
Uh, I see his tail is straight cut mark, but there isn't in sharp. Maybe biting ?
I see, I'll tell her more decorations.
Yes, I use Ebay. Is there good Indian almond ? Do you use it ?
I searched Amy Lim. I used Indian almond once. But I don't have it now.
I'll get from her.
Thank you so much.

Oh I see. Suma might have Indian almond leaf extract.

Indian almond leaf makes the water darker, like tea. probably the only reason someone won't like it. My fish scraped a few scales off his head when he tried to wiggle between two larva rocks. I didn't use medication at all. just indian almond leaf, to prevent it from being infected.

I can see scales growing after a week, and no infections.

I like to do things naturally. Natural medication helps boost immune systems whilst man made chemicals do not do the same. Usually in Thailand they use indian almond leaf the help heala fighting fish's fins after a fight. The water should be very dark. almost black sometimes.

Fish can fin bite due to boredom. Sometimes it's good to have many places for the fish to hide. Also the filter flow should be very gentle. usually in heavy finned fish, especially in half moons, their tails are very heavy. And they bite it when there is a larer curren to feel lighter.

You dont have to repay me hahaha. just learn more about bettas so you can ho your friends too!
