Cool Rediscovering my passion

Hello community. Nice to be here, I am impressed with this site and hope to be around a long time. I grew up an aquarium enthusiast and working in pet stores seemed to be the only thing I enjoyed but i have been out of the loop for many years now and am on disability. Lately, I have wanted to get back into the joy of responsible fish keeping and since my income is rather low I will start with a betta tank and go from there. I had tried breeding bettas at one time long ago, but I never got past the stage where the fry begin to free swim out of the bubble nest. Maybe I can do better this time, but I think I will just stick with a few pets because trying to find homes for all those babies is a chore.

Good to be here :)

Thank you very much for the link:) I made an effort in the past to inform people and customers about responsible pet care. Nothing irked me more than a person making a pet purchase based solely on what looks "cute" or "cool' and not educating themselves on the animal and it's needs. Then the animal suffers and dies or ends up being discarded somewhere because the person was uninformed or lazy. Some people just do not need to have pets at all (or kids for that matter). But my joy was in sharing my knowledge with others, especially children, so they could understand and appreciate nature's beauty in a responsible way.

In all honesty if someone can not care for fish they do not deserve a child and your welcome the cool part is in a bigger tank they love it.
