Ugh.

So I went to Petco today with my boyfriend because they have a huge fish section. Literally the whole back of the store is fish & fish supplies. I commented on how cute the African Dwarf Frog was & I wondered if I could put it in with my betta. The fish section employee told me no because they were both air breathers & when the frog went up for air the betta would bite his legs off. I know for a fact TONS of people on here keep ADFs with their bettas. So then I asked him what kind of fish he would recommend putting in there with my betta. He recommended GOLD FISH. I was floored. Ugh.

Did you correct him? Goldfish are the worst tankmates and frogs are the best. My betta loved Bilbo Froggins. Those two lay together on the gravel side by side. i even caught they huddled in the temple with each other once and chilling in the same plant. It's rather cute. Even when Aquarius swims away Bilbo follows him and vice versa. The only time they dislike each other is when food is involved.
