Velvet has been eating too! 2 pellets yesterday morning, 3 pellets yesterday night, and 3 pellets this morning. Swimming a LOT more at the top of the tank & the bloat is going away. Thanks! Should I start weaning him off the metrolidazone tommorow?
No, I'd leave him on the metro for at least another few days to make sure we're getting rid of everything. Go Velvet!

On the pack it only says to treat for 5-7 days, and in my research it said that prolonged use could cause kidney damage. That was the only reason I was questioning taking him off of it. Yes, go Velvet!! I was almost certain he was going to die, I guess all of the meds and prayers helped!! :)
How many days has it been? I think the use has to be pretty prolonged to cause major damage but if it is a concern, give it one more day and then wean him off but keep him on epsom salts.
I started him a week ago today. So, should I take him off of this on maybe Tuesday and put him back on epsom salt? I haven't been adding the salt in since I started the meds.
