Well, I went from zero to four within a month and my hubby promises me another next month! These fish are too darned addicting! On the plus side, the hubby thinks this is the coolest hobby I've had yet (my forum name isn't an accident

) so he's kind of enabling me.
I've gotten four boys all from Petco and while I'm taking care of them all, one of them is technically my son's. He picked out this pretty boy for his own:
Sapphire the crowntail (I love how his rays fork at the end!)
Topaz the double tail halfmoon (that's his real color in natural light!)
Opal the halfmoon (his tail's not split or feathered at the edges, the angle is a bit off so the folds appear to be ruffles). I love the color of this fish, he looks like a red fish that someone took a paintbrush full of white paint to, including drips! The red is much more distinct if looking at him from the true side.
And last, but not least, the fish that started the obsession: this is Beryl, the double tail halfmoon. I had to show a before and after picture because while I thought he was beautiful when I brought him home a month ago, the change in him has been quite dramatic and I think he's pretty stunning now. It was really unexpected!

I can't believe the different personalities these fish have, if I had more room I'd have a lot more of them. As it is, there is a lot of bubbling going on in my dining room and kitchen
