Yeah i walk in the house and he's doing it. Meanwhile I just put a bottle cap with a worm in it for him to find in the tank. You know what else would work well besides a ping-pong ball would be a cork.

Thanks for the reply! I put the ping pong ball in but he wont touch it, he just swims around it. same with the bottle cap with food in it :(

Yeah lil' Blooie's not touching the Coors Light bottle cap either. If I can find a cork that would be next.

I got Prince Zuko a Betta Log a couple days ago from Petsmart and now he loves to go and play in and around it. It took him a while and my girlfriend thought him how to go in the log by placing a FD bloodworm in the hole. Now he goes in and out, rest and sometimes he tries to push it lol.

Get your betta a Betta Log!

Mine likes to when I use my little flashlight around the tank he follows and looks for the light, also sometimes he like the cat lasertoy but dont shine those in their eyes.

Amazon.com sells something called theR2 Fish School Complete Fish Training Kit


might give you some good ideas. There are some "training your betta" videos on YouTube, too.

I haven't had time to formally train but they do seem to pick things up pretty quickly. Just how long did it take them to figure out we give them food lol
