My betta fish did not eat when my tank was still being adjusted and I hadn't bought a heater. Once I bought a heater, he seemed to be more active. My Betta was a picky eater at first which is why I introduced freeze dried bloodworms. Since bloodworms are fatty, I wanted to change to Betta bites which was successful after a week or so . It may be other things causing lack of hunger, but I am telling you my experience if it helps.

only feed bloodworms ounce a week and lethargy is caused by cold water so adding the heater helped. Bettas are fascinated by live food and New life spectrum/omega one are great so are FFF.

Yes, I agree with the fact of the bloodworms. They are usually just given as treats.
