Question Leave at school or bring home?

I have 2 boys here with me at school. I will be going home for Thanksgiving on Monday and will be back Sunday afternoon. I have left them at school for a max of 3 nights before, but 6 seems a little long. But it will probably be more stressful to go on a two hour drive both ways and tank changes? What do you guys think? Just toss in a couple vacation feeders? Thanks!

As long as they will remain warm, they will be fine. Those vacation feeders are not something that I would use. Just do your water change a day or so before break, and they will be fine without food. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Yes, they go that long when being shipped all the time. Just don't go crazy and overfeed him before you leave cause that will just cause excess waste to build up while you're gone.

What sized tanks are they in? I'd be more concerned with no water changes during that time than no food.

Agreed with above! They can actually do 2 weeks without issue if they are healthy, the problem is water quality.

My max was 6 days gone and didn't feed the first day home (was a very busy day) 2.5 gal and she was completely fine.

That's a relief. What if you put them on a schedule where they miss a dinner every now and then? On two days a week I sleep at a different house and I didn't know they could go without eating so I always texted someone that was there to feed the fish. Could he miss a dinner regularly twice a week?
