Emergency!

I think my fish might have passed away or is passing away as I type. He was recently switched from tanks but I don't know what is wrong he immediately wet to the bottom of the tank and started floating around but otherwise he was perfectly healthy before the tank change. The thing is I recently got back from Chicago and I didn't do the water change my little brother did it and I'm afraid my fish went into shock because he wasn't properly acclimated to the temperature change of the new tanks water.

Is there ANYthing I can do right now? I've never had a fish die on me since I was like 11 and now I'm 21 and I have no clue how to tell if he's even dead. Any signs?

Thanks

You can tell that hes dead if there isnt any gill movements after 5 minutes. Hes probably in shock like you said. The best thing to do is keep him warm water water and maybe some stress coat. However i could be wrong so anyone is welcome to correct me!

Try to touch him with a net, lack of gill movement doesn't necessarily mean they are dead. When mine was sick, she would float at the top, and not move anything at all for hours.

Thanks so much for the suggestion I was trying that but it's been hours and I'm convinced that he's gone.
