He's a pretty boy. You don't need any Ich meds if you can raise the tank tank temp to 86F, heat with good water changes & vacs will get rid of it. It can take 2-3 wks & will look worse before getting better & you'll want to keep the temp up for at least a week after you see the last spot. Personally I'd stay away from the meds if I could.

I would still recommend medicine ick is easily treated but fatal if left untreated.

I raised the tank temp from 80F to 82F this morning and will increase it again later. Trying to do it slowly to not stress him out. He is in a cup right now floating and tonight I will get him a 1 gal as a QT tank.

Should I really stay away from the ich meds? The sticky says the most effective method is a chemical treatment.

I've researched and there seems to be 4 methods.

The temp method
The AQ Salt Method
The Medication Method
The Chemical Method.

I'm stuck.

I will probably try the Med method with this one along with the temp. The other one that may have gotten infected I will do the AQ salt and temp? Should I do that?

Just be careful with the meds follow the instructions to the letter.

Salt baths are great so that will help you but the Ned's are just a safe percussion and lots of water changes are important.
