possible sore on head? - Fievel day 2

This is day two for my rescue, Fievel. I noticed that he had a dark spot on his head when I got him but I thought that was just his coloring. Tonight I was looking at him really close and I think he is actually missing scales and has a sore on his head. What does it look like to you guy? So far all I'm doing for him is daily water changes and aq salt....is there anything else that I can do for him? How does he look from the pictures?

My girl has that happen fairly often. She's a jumper (especially during feeding time - down girl!) and bumps her head or body other part on the lid of her tank all the time and ends up missing scales. I've noticed that it usually takes just a few days to heal up on it's own. I don't put in aquarium salt because they heal so quickly and she doesn't have any other issues.

Fievel from Fiddler on the Roof?
or
Fievel from An American Tail?

I'm with St Hogan---warm, clean water. It would take more than that for me to salt my fish.

An American Tale....I just though of fievel goes west lol

Yeah I've been doing daily water changes and he has a heater....I have salt in there too because he was a rescue and also came with a case of fin rot. Thanks for the advice!
