Hood and Light Issues 5.5 gal

Guys -- just was at Walmart - Ugh. besides rescuing another betta, i notice they have a 5 gallon set up for @ $28 with a LED hood! I would pay more to just get a hood if I could find one!!!!!

I didn't know Walmart ever let people rescue their bettas - I figured they'd still charge you even if it was dead.

I just bought that set up! It is nice and very worth the money. I'm debating buying a second one for my bedroom!

Update:

I bought this light and I'm going to use the assortment of mini CFL's that I bought that are the Sylvania. Here.. I found a link to them . The double pack costs about $8 and I have a couple. I HATE the daylight ones, I use a softer white. I hate neon blue/white color .. it hurts my eyes

I also bought the Perfecto glass lid listed HERE

Something that I've realised:
Aqueon is All-Glass and you use VERSA TOP with them

Marineland is PERFECTO, Tetra, Top Fin, Aqua Culture (Walmart), Perfect-A-Lite

Hope this helps someone.. keep within the brands for your tank needs (at least the tank and hood) and you'll do fine :)

I recieved my stuff today.. Everything was a PERFECT fit.

The only downside is that the light (single incandescent) is off to the right, not in the middle like I was hoping.. /shrug

I didn't trim the back for the heater/air hose, so the back is flipped up a little.. but side to side is perfect 15 5/16ths inches (Stupid Marineland/Top Fin)
