Feeding while away

I will be out of town for 4 days and need a way to feed my betta and african dwarf frog. I have been unable to find an automatic feeder that clips onto my bowl due to the shape.

Are the feeding blocks safe to use with the betta and african dwarf frog?

Im not sure about the dwarf frog, i've never had one. But I use feeding blocks for my betta and other fish on a rare occasion and never have a problem. But betta's can go weeks without food, I would be more worried about water quality going bad, depending on the size of your bowl, than feeding.

The bowl is almost 5 gallons so I am not too concerned about the water quality while I am gone.

The betta will be fine, they can go a week without food. I wouldn't even worry about it. As for the ADF, I'm not sure. I've never had one. :(

Stay clear of those feeding blocks, those things are absolutely horrible. Whether they're eaten or not(from what I've ready they're rarely even touched), whatever is left of them will just foul up your water something fierce and since bettas are opportunistic feeders(that lack that "I'm full I should stop eating" switch), it'd be very easy for him to basically eat himself sick if he DOES eat it. They're just an over-all terrible idea, nothing but a marketing scheme.

Both your betta and your frog should be just fine without food for four days. As my dad always used to say; a hungry fish(and frog, in this case)is a happy fish. Just feed them both normally and preform your water change right before you leave, then return to feeding them normally when you get back. ;)

The betta will easily be fine without food for 4 days, and it's doubtful the frog would even find the feeder.
