Best brand of food?

I was curious what the best brand of betta food would be? I have a thing of topfin color enhancing betta bits I got with a tank kit I got a while back and wondered if this was any good? I also have frozen bloodworm cubes :p

From what I seen on here, some of the best brands are New Life Spectrum and Omega One. I know there's more, but I can't remember the other names.

My betta loves Omega One and NSL. I mix them every I feed my betta (2-3 Pellets in the Morning and at Night) and I'll feed my betta either Omega FD Bloodworms or the San Francisco Bay Frozen Bloodworms.

But you can't go wrong with either of those brands.

From what I've seen, Tetra/Top Fin foods are pretty terrible in quality.
New Life Spectrum Betta formula and Omega One Betta Buffet are, to my knowledge, currently the two very best of the best for commercial betta pellets.

Perhaps it was just the food I had, but all of the nine boys I had at the time hated Omega One when I fed it.....all of my boys adore NLS however. Even finally got my most picky eater to take to NLS after struggling with feeding him for a little over two weeks.

Here is an awesome thread posted a little while ago on choosing a commercial food and what to look for if you'd like a little more information on the subject: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....99#post1263699

Yeah, Top Fin pellet quality is not that good.

My betta loves Omega One and NLS. Good thing about NLS is that they got a bit of garlic in it for anti-parasite lol. Worth the money.

And don't forget to order it on Amazon or where ever is cheaper (Amazon is always cheap for me :p)

Ill probably pick up the omega today(and order the NLS later) as I just got a new black orchid CT betta today :) They didnt have NLS but had the omega betta flakes. Would the flakes be okay or should i try another store to find the betta pellets?

I would advise going for the pellets over the flakes.

I think most people on here prefer the pellets opposed to flakes since they are easier to measure so you know how much you are feeding and the pellets are a lot less messy in the tank.

My local petco carries both NLS and Omega One pellets/flakes. I think as long as it is a quality food, it doesn't matter if it is flaked or pelleted. There might be a store near you that carries pellets, but if you are fine with feeding flakes, I'd say get them.

This is just my opinion however, someone else might come along with another one.
