I wouldn't up the dose. Sometimes a fish just needs to work it out on his own. He's not showing any signs of sickness so just keep caring for him as normal. I would say it will go away when he is ready to be the boss of the tank again.

Actually, I think that upping the dosage would help since I read one person's experience where their betta didn't react to the medicine until it was doubled.

I really don't think upping the dose would help. The tannins from the IAL would help his stress coat. I wouldn't give any medication if he's not showing any other symptoms.

Medicine Suggestions

ok... I really don't think LuckyBlue's fins are going to get better with with just the oak leaves...

So, If I am to try some medications.. please tell me which you would suggest...

In examining him today, i have to say the they are not just stuck together anymore they are kind of gone... and his body is not as healthy(fat) looking as it used to be..

So, I am going to try something else.. please help with medicine suggestions.

If he's still eating, but losing weight, it could be internal parasites. If this is the case use Epsom salt. 1tsp per gallon of water and feed pellets coated in garlic. This way even if he didn't have internal parasites it wouldn't hurt him.
