Question Are there eggs in there?!

So I took a couple of pics cause I really can't tell if I've got eggs in the nest or not. My guess is no,
although in some spots it looks like there is. :/

[sorry they are so large!!]

IMHO...no.
You'll know when eggs are there:
1. Male won't leave nest area and will adamantly refuse female entrance...usually, I had a typical spawn setup once and the male and female worked as partners first 24hrs...he scared her away after babies began hatching.

2. Every successful spawn that I have had, the eggs are buttery yellow at first, getting more golden toward hatching.
If you are still not sure, watch from the side as you GENTLY wiggle that leaf a bit...if eggs are present, your male will pick them up again if they are viable.

I thought there were some, but looking closer, I have to agree with Raven on there not being any.
But you can tell by how the male is acting, as mentioned above.

I don't think so.
Why do you think there are eggs there? Has the female lost interest.

Some spots just seemed to have white patches in them. Unfortunately after a few more days there's been nothing, both of them have completely ripped each others fins to shreds so I've taken them out.

Some people make it seem so easy lol.

I see what you are saying.. but magnified 400% they don't look like tails, and the the ones that look like eggs are a bit too clear.

Only the OP can say whether or not there is any by how the male is acting and at this point some fry should be more noticeable.
