New from Mexico

Hello my name is Esmirna ( I know my name is very difficult so yeah, Myna or Mirna will do fine too) and I'm from Mexico =)
I wanted to join this site because I want to learn the best ways to ensure a happy life to my little precious babies. The main reason is that in March I lost my first fish a crown tail named William Blake; I had that little fella for nearly 3 years and it really did hurt a lot, what made me very sad is that nobody thought it was "worth it" because fish are cheap pets and I could easily afford another new one rather than at least trying to save him. It was on this site that I found the answers to what was wrong with my William, sadly it was too late.
Well... I can't say I'm an expert on bettas but I try my best and I'm very glad to say that I have 4 healthy precious bettas: one of them is almost 4 years old, another is 2 years old, 1 year old and the youngest is probably 6 or 7 months old. Thanks to my dear William I was able to learn how this magnificent creatures can become more beautiful, how their personalities and temper makes them unique and wonderful, and how they depend on us to become the best they can be. (And now I'm an addict because I want more and more =P)
I really hope to learn a lot to keep my precious fishies with me as long as I can and also to be able to share with other people (please give me advices and tips =P) also I really like sharing photos of my fishies (tough I'm not such a good animal photographer) and sharing stories too =)

Oh! That's 4/5 hours from here, I'm more to the centre of the country at the Bajío zone very close to the touristic city called Guanajuato (I'm in a very small town actually =P but it has a better weather for fishies) D.F is such a great place however it is too crowded for small-town folks like myself =P I hope you enjoy your stay there and if you're living there you can never get bored, ever!!
