Soda Bottles?

I've seen breeders with there fish in a soda bottle with the skinny part cut off. Is that safe-ok for if you have many fish?

It should be okay if it is rinsed out enough, if you mean the 2L kind. You might want to put some kind of top on it though... Would you be using this for breeding purposes?

Yes for breeding purposes. For a lid I plan to use tupper ware lids.

Yeah I don't see why not. Might even be better than what some people use because I think they are bigger than a pickle jar...

EDIT: I would rinse them in a vinegar solution though to make sure all tye sugars and everything are washed out :)

Yah. Pickle jars tend to be tinted.

But if you are worried about the plastic being toxic... I dont think thats a problem at all since so many people use soda bottles as filter baffles...

I meant tinted by not clear. Most are green or something.
