Aggressive female?

my female betta is little and extremely aggressive. she doesn't really hide, more zooms around and if you walk up to the tank she goes crazy and like tries to kill you through the glass. she'll even go to he surface of the water and blow a bubble at me sometimes. when i feed her she viciously ASSAULTS the food. amazingly, she's never jumped out of the water. if she were bigger, i'd get her live bloodworms, but im relatively certain they're bigger then her.

no, it is not a short finned male.

anyway, i'm just curious if anyone else has ever had such a raging female betta?

Well I don't know about the aggression part but I know female bettas are crazy too! Theres a member on this forum, and I remember a long time ago him telling me about how he would come home and be peeling bettas of the floor because they would jump out. So if you don't have a lid, you might want to look into getting one.

I just got a female betta today and she's pretty crazy!
At first I put her in a tank with my paradise fish and the moment she saw him she started to flare and chase him around the tank! Kinda funny since the paradise fish is supposed to be the agressive one.

I remember someone talking about females flaring before on the forum, but was shocked when I actually saw mine doing it

haha yeah, mine flares at me a lot. its weird cos she tries to stretch out her fins but they're so little that nothing really happens XD. for a while i considered putting another fish in the tank with her for company but i seriously think she'd kill it.

when she was really tiny and under an inch long she wasnt this aggressive more curious then anything.

Yes! I have a very agressive female ...she looks just like the one Graciegrapes has...she actually has flared!

haha! yay!
i decided i like the aggressive female bettas more then the males. the males are amazing to look at but, idunno, i just like how they're so little and yet sooo angry.
