Not sure about the pump but you can probably turn it back on. Do water changes twice a week, a minimum of 1 50% and 1 100%. I prefer to do 2 100% but thats just me. You need conditioner no matter what so add salt with it. Make sure it is completely dissolved before putting it with the fish. I like to put the salt in a pyrex glass with some water and put it in the mocrowave for about 90 seconds. Then I stir until it is all dissolved and put it in my bucket for adding in water. Then I add like 75 degree water with the hot water and swish it around. Finally I add it into the tank, and wait for it to heat up, add conditioner, and then put my boy back in! Planned and monotonous process.

Pump as in filter or aeration? I don't see a reason to put either in a hospital tank as it is not going to cycle with 100% water changes.
