I haven't posted on the normal betta sections in a while, so here's Omelette with his mega grumpy face on :)
Right after a tank cleaning, so he had no reason to be angry ;)
I have his tank all clean and sparkly so I'll have more pictures tomorrow

(And just for kicks there's also Pearl, my gorgeous white Pearlscale goldfish!)

Yep, he's quite the expressionate guy.

And indeed, Pearlscales aren't very common goldfish. A little bit more expensive than your usual comets, but I love them

The belly alone should be about the size of an orange. Tail included, maybe about 8 or 9 inches?

Yes, one of the few reasons I bought Pearl instead of a Fantail was because 1.) I love Pearlscales and 2.) She was the tiniest, fattest fish in the tank she was from

They are....common goldfish (comets and "regulars) usually get 14+ inches if properly taken care of :)

She's with a single Black Moor, who is roughly the same size as her. They need a 30 gallon tank (20gal per fancy goldfish +10 per additional) but I have a 20gal long (weirdly enough, it has almost the exact dimensions of a 40gal) so I compensated with a 68 gallon filter and some air pumps :)

I love this interest in my little Pearl ^_^
