Last night he discovered his cave....he slowed down a while and got in there with his head sticking out..I had to sneak up and look around the corner to watch him ...as soon as he saw me he started again..I should have named him Zipper
That's cute! Bettas usually speed up a good deal when you put them in a heated tank. Their whole body slows down so much in room temperature, so it's probably just a pleasant change for him!
mine does the same thing (got him in a cup a nd put him an 2gal tank... i think they just enjoy the room... mine however wears himself out and takes frequent sleeping breaks... he is in a dim warm room all the time so light is not a problem lol
I would not have thought it so unusual, this zipping around, but my other 5 Bettas are so calm..except when it's time to eat or I play with them...I guess he is a Happy Boy He was kind of struggling in his "CUP" ( like he was trying to breakout)when I saw him in the Petsmart....that was the deciding factor for me to get yet another Betta.....
