Help assuage my worries?

So I shipped my boys back home yesterday, using fedex ground, with them apparently supposed to arrive tomorrow or Friday.

I think I did everything correctly, double bagged, much more air than water, wrapped in newspaper, heat pack wrapped in newspaper, styrofoam, cushioned the box, fasted them, etc.

Still really worried about something happening and the box ending up being crushed or the boys arriving dead.

Anyone have experience with Fedex? Any shipping stories?

It doesn't help that the site hasn't updated the tracking information..

I know it is hard to ship, or have fish shipped to you. you did all you could!

I have had little luck with Canada Post, and I have not heard Fed Ex being any better... however I have never had any of the fish being crushed, or the bags popped, etc. I would use only sturdy cardboard boxes...not those flimsy ones. That ensures it can take some decent force on the outside of the box, avoiding crushing the contents. Lining it with styrofoam, makes it even more strong.

Yeah, this was a pretty thick, sturdy box. It says it's out for delivery now.. Nn.

Is fish being crushed a common thing...?

I don't think so. Like I said I've never had that problem.
