Split Tank for my boys :)

I came home from College for winter break today. Never again will I leave the majority of my betta in the care of my mother. While she tried her hardest, I still ended up with two of my babies having ammonia poisoning and two are overweight/constipation issues. Somehow she managed to feed one of the snails so much that he tripled in size over two weeks!

Anyway, after a busy day of cleaning tanks and moving decorations around, I decided to go ahead and prepare my split tank for Neville and Azul. I'd bought mesh about an hour before at Micheal's Craft store, so I figured I'd get the work done now.
Neville is on the left (red veiltail) and Azul is on the right (blue and pink veiltail)
It sort of reminds me of "Fire and Ice"

What do they think? Can they see eachother? I bet they love the room!

They can see each other only a little. (Basically, it's like a shadow when they swim by) The black mesh works a lot better than clear/opaque mesh I've seen people using. They've flared at each other a couple of times but it never lasts long
Neville wasn't too thrilled at first since he had the whole tank to himself for a while, but he's calmed down. After Azul's qt in the 1 gallon for three weeks (had to make sure he wasn't sick before introducing him to my other babies), he's happy to have more space
