For weeks I've been looking for a Plakat to take home because they are probably my favorite fin types of Betta. Even though I already have 4 Betta, I just knew I was going to end up adopting another if I found the right Plakat. coincidentally, I stumbled into a Petsmart last night and discovered they had just gotten a shipment of plakat/dragon scales.
It took me a long time to decide on which one to I wanted to take home. They were all so gorgeous and spunky!
But while all of them were flaring up at one another, this little guy just ignored them and kept staring out at some of the ornaments next to his cup. He was so tiny compared to the rest of them, but I think his innocent and shy personality is what got to me (along with his gorgeous color) <3
So, meet Yukon Cornelius, the Dragonscale Plakat:
He is the sweetest little fella I think I have ever purchased. Very timid, but he loves to swim up to the front of his tank to greet me. And every time I snap a picture of him he swims up to the front and I can't get a shot of his body! I had to distract him with my finger in order to get this shot.
If I ever get a better camera, I'll be sure to post better pictures.. but I'm so proud of this little guy!
